En relisant un Jazz Mag de l'an dernier, et plus particulièrement l'édito de
Franck Ténot, je m'aperçois que la mort de Bob Berg m'avait totalement
échappée... (C normal, au journal tévé, on ne parle pas des vrais
événements)

De quoi est-il mort exactement ? Lui qui avait du faire camionneur par temps
de vaches maigres ...

BOB BERG

It is with deep sorrow that, just as we were going to press with this issue,
we heard the sad news that saxophonist Bob Berg had been killed in a car
crash, on 5th December, in New York on his way home from a gig. Apart from
being a fine musician, and a popular visitor to the club, Bob, who was just
51, was a very nice guy and we are all shocked to learn of his death. Our
association with Bob goes back to the Seventies, when he first appeared here
at the club with Horace Silver. We will, of course, be running a full
tribute to this great saxophonist in JARS 141. Our sincere condolences go
out to his wife, Arja, and family.

hé bien il a été écrasé par un camion à béton sur route verglacée le
pauvre à à peine 51 berges...
Sinon, grand sax ce gars, plusieurs fois vu sur Bordeaux, dont
certaines avec Mike Stern, un régal complet dont sa dernière prestation
où là, il ne reprenait que des standards...
